Daniel was commissioned to stage Massimo Morricone’s production of “A Christmas Carol” for the Royal New Zealand Ballet in 2014.
The production was commissioned by Eathan Stiefel who was the company’s Artistic Director at the time.
This acclaimed production was created for Northern Ballet in 1992 – a company noted for its strength in creating storytelling works.
This was to be this production’s first commission outside the UK. An adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol, the setting is picture-perfect Victorian and Christopher Gable’s production is lively and vivid.
Music for the production was specially created by celebrated film and television composer Carl Davis and includes familiar Christmas carols.
