Daniel joined Northern Ballet in 1995 as principal dancer under the Directorship of Christopher Gable. Later during his performing career he began teaching and coaching company’s repertoire.
He was appointed resident Ballet Master in 2004 by David Nixon. Since then Daniel has worked closely with David Nixon as part of the Artistic staff and is also entrusted with representing and promoting the company in the UK and abroad.
With 20 years of experience of the company’s repertoire Daniel has worked alongside Northern Ballet’s guest choreographers Massimo Morricone, Gyllian Lynn, Nacho Duarto, Veronica Papper, Cathy Marston, Hans Van Manen and Jonathan Watkins amongst others.
He was also guest with Bern Ballet, Deborah Colker Dance Company, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Royal Academy of Dance, and Central School of Ballet, The Ballet Boyz and National Dance Company of Wales.
Daniel staged Northern Ballet’s “The Three Musqueteers” for the Estonia Opera House Ballet, Massimo Morricone’s “Romeo and Juliet” for the Slovakian National Ballet and “A Christmas Carol” for the Royal New Zealand Ballet.
Now Artistic Associate with Northern Ballet Daniel continues to work intensively in the creation, development and nurturing of high standard productions. He also represents the company on a broad range of activities helping to promote its work as a most influential British Dance Hub.
